History

Poiema Collaborative was founded by husband and wife Dave and Michelle Mussari.
They had been homeschooling for 8 years when they found themselves looking for a
group of likeminded families to be in community with and journey together. Joined
by fellow board members Jonathan Fitt, Christy Brehm and Liz Whartenby, this
group of dedicated homeschooling parents and creative minded leaders jumped into
the task of creating the Non-profit and planning our first semester. Supported by
amazing volunteer teachers and classroom helpers, Poiema Collaborative was born.
